Multimodal Compliance Services LLC ("MCS," "we," "us," or "our") is a DOT compliance filing service registered in FMCSA's Motus system as a supporting company of the FMCSA and a BOC-3 blanket company. We provide BOC-3 process agent services plus advisory, educational, and administrative compliance support to commercial motor carriers operating under USDOT and FMCSA authority. MCS is a private company — we are not a government agency or subdivision of the FMCSA, and the FMCSA retains all regulatory and enforcement authority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the compliance services we deliver under your service agreement.

01

Information We Collect

Identity & Contact. Company or authority name, contact name, email address, and phone number — typically provided through our gap analysis widget or onboarding portal.

Authority & Fleet Data. US DOT number, MC number, fleet size bracket, and similar regulatory identifiers.

Compliance Data. When you enroll in services, we may process driver records, drug & alcohol test results, Clearinghouse query data, CSA scores, and ELD/HOS information necessary to administer your compliance program.

Technical Data. IP address, browser type, and usage information collected through cookies and analytics.

Payment & Billing Data. When you purchase a service or filing through our checkout, billing details (name, billing address, and transaction identifiers) are processed by our third-party payment processor. MCS does not store full card numbers or raw payment credentials.

02

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provision and manage your compliance services and account;
  • Act as your authorized service provider to complete and submit mandatory federal filings — including BOC-3 process-agent designations — under our federal registration;
  • Conduct compliance gap analysis and generate reports;
  • Register for and query the FMCSA Clearinghouse on your behalf;
  • Administer drug & alcohol consortium pools, ELD programs, and audit defense;
  • Communicate with you about your account, services, and regulatory matters;
  • Improve our services and this website; and
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
03

Information We Share

We share information only as necessary to deliver services or as required by law:

  • Regulators. FMCSA, the Clearinghouse, and other DOT agencies as required to administer your compliance program or respond to legal requests.
  • Service partners. Collection facilities and laboratories for testing, ELD vendors for device provisioning, our payment processor for transaction settlement, and other vendors acting on our instructions under confidentiality.
  • Legal compliance. When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MCS, our clients, or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

04

Data Retention

We retain your information for the duration of your service engagement and for the additional period required by FMCSA and applicable recordkeeping rules — typically three to five years depending on the record type. When retention is no longer required, we delete or anonymize the data unless retention is legally mandated.

05

Data Security

We protect your information using encrypted transmission, access controls, and limited authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data against unauthorized access, loss, and misuse.

06

Cookies & Analytics

We use minimal analytics to understand how visitors use this website so we can improve it. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting core site functionality.

07
